RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for day-to-day oversight and leadership of the pharmacy clinical functions (formulary development including P&T Committee, clinical policy management, clinical and utilization management programs, etc,).  Additionally, provides day-to-day leadership of the pharmacy care navigators and its programs.

  • Builds and operates a functional Pharmacy & Therapeutics process in the design and management of clinical policies and formularies. Ensures that these processes meet or exceed regulatory and best practice standards
  • Directs day to day clinical operations (Prior authorization and utilization management) including training, monitoring performance and service levels, and ensuring the compliance with policies and procedures
  • Effectively collaborate with third parties in the administration of Rightway’s clinical pharmacy strategy
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders (e.g., CMO, CPO, VP PBM Ops), organizes and oversees a process for clinical pharmacy strategy development and deployment
  • Responsible for monitoring productivity and quality of work for all clinical pharmacy personnel
  • Evaluate and implement technology-enabled processes to create a highly scalable clinical pharmacy operation
  • Provider oversight & leadership of new clinical program implementations for successful program execution
  • Accountable clinical lead for cross-functional projects in conjunction with various departments for systems implementation/integration, complex data collection and analysis, application design and engineering.
  • Ensures regulatory standards are consistently met.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education level: Pharmacy degree required, PharmD highly preferred. Advanced Business or Management degree preferred.
  • Work Experience: 7 years in PBM clinical operations or Health Plan Pharmacy Department
  • Location Information: Miami highly preferred, or New York City with ability to travel periodically
  • Important characteristics of ideal candidate: Detail oriented, intellectually and clinically curious, good listener, ability to challenge status quo, values exemplar
  • Specific skills needed for job: Great clinician, highly effective & creative problem-solver, ability to prioritize, ability to lead through change and manage through times of chaos, solid communication skills, great people leadership and clinical leadership skills
